Benny Blanco is the stage name of Benjamin Joseph Levin, born on 8 March 1988 in Reston, Virginia. He began producing hip-hop beats in his bedroom as a kid and grew into one of the most successful pop producers of his generation.
Rise as a producer
Mentored by Dr. Luke, Blanco co-wrote and produced Katy Perry’s "Teenage Dream", Kesha’s "TiK ToK" and Britney Spears’s "Circus". He has also worked with Ed Sheeran, BTS, Eminem and Justin Bieber. His production work is associated with hundreds of millions in combined album-equivalent sales.
As an artist
His 2018 single "Eastside", with Halsey and Khalid, peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. He released Friends Keep Secrets in 2018, followed by the expanded Friends Keep Secrets 2 in 2021, featuring "Lonely" with Justin Bieber. In March 2025 he released I Said I Love You First with Selena Gomez, and a second solo album, Hermoso, was scheduled for August 2026.
